Join the Parents' Association

The St. Mary's Parents' Association is a vital and inclusive group that provides a powerful network of support for parents, faculty, and students. Through engaging events, volunteer opportunities, and active communication, the Parents' Association strengthens community and campus life, fostering a sense of unity and belonging.

Parents are automatically enrolled as members of this dynamic organization and can choose to be as active as they'd like! The Parents' Association is tasked with helping all parents feel connected by building a strong community. Monthly meetings are held so parents can learn about the various committees and initiatives that are driving positive change at St. Mary's. These meetings also provide updates from the Head of School and the Rector of St. Mary's Church, ensuring that parents are well-informed and engaged in the life of the school.

Whether you're a new school parent or a seasoned veteran, we encourage you to get involved! You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with other parents and build lasting friendships
  • Gain valuable insights into school life
  • Share your unique perspectives and contribute to the school's success
  • Make a real difference in the lives of your children and the entire school community

When parents and a school work together, an environment is created where each child can thrive and reach their full potential.

contributions

Each St. Mary’s family pays $250 in annual dues in order to streamline financial asks throughout the year. Your dues include:

  • Parents' Association operating expenses for the year, including guest speakers and Parent Education events; social events such as Grandparents' Day and grade level parent coffees; our year-end banquet celebrating our student-athletes; administrative expenses; and more.
  • Birthday cookies for your child/children and their classmates the week of their special day. (Summer and holiday birthdays are celebrated during the school year, too.)
  • Contribution to the Christmas and Year-end Teacher Gift Fund.
  • Contribution to class celebrations for teachers' birthdays.

annual benefit

The Parents' Association's largest fundraiser is the Annual Benefit which occurs in the fall and is a celebration that brings together our community of families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends for an evening of fun and philanthropy.

Through the sale of event tickets and sponsorships, as well as a silent and live auction, the Parents' Association is able to fund school projects that are important to our community and enrich the lives of all St. Mary's students.

Whether you are able to give an hour here and there or are looking to serve as a committee chair, the Parents' Association welcomes your help in its service to St. Mary’s for this important and special event!
