Your Journey starts now

At St. Mary's Episcopal Day School, we believe that education is more than just acquiring knowledge. It's a journey that cultivates a lifelong love of learning, strong character development, and growth into a well-rounded individual. Our curriculum, rooted in Episcopal values, emphasizes academic excellence, personal faith, and ethical decision-making. We provide a rich tapestry of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs, allowing students to pursue their passions and develop their talents. We empower students to become critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and responsible citizens through our mission: inspiring curiosity, kindness, and dignity in a caring Christian community.

The first step in this journey is submitting an application for admission. We aim to personalize the experience as much as possible for each family, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. We invite you to take the first step toward a transformative experience for your child. Explore our admission process and discover all the opportunities that await.

The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants on the basis of the application, the applicant's school record, teacher recommendation, interviews, observations, and admissions assessments. The Admissions Committee considers academic skills, motivation to learn, developmental and social readiness, talents, personal interests, and desire to attend St. Mary's. Through these criteria, the school seeks to admit children who demonstrate a likelihood of success within a challenging environment, high moral character, and appropriate social adjustment. Children entering Pre-Kindergarten must be four years old (kindergartners five years old and first graders six years old) by September 1 of the academic year.

Due to the competitive nature of the admissions process, families are encouraged to contact our Director of Admission, Kathleen Lopez, as early as possible: kathleen.lopez@smeds.org.
